Look for Ways to Expand Your Program
Once you and your organization’s leadership have decided that you want to continue offering the National DPP lifestyle change program as a covered benefit, think about how you can expand and improve it. The following activities will help you through this process:
- Review your delivery method: Determine whether your current delivery method (through your health plan provider, through a contract with a CDC-recognized organization, or by becoming a CDC-recognized organization) still makes sense for your organization.
- Consider who is eligible: Revisit your participant eligibility criteria. If you limited the program to just a subset of your workforce or beneficiaries, consider expanding eligibility to others. You may want to review the Enrollment and Identification section of the dashboard to assess options for expanding your program.
- Identify employee champions: Provide opportunities for employees who have completed the program and reported satisfaction with their experience to generate excitement about the program among colleagues. Internal program champions can help you recruit, engage, and retain other participants. It can also help the champions maintain their lifestyle changes.
